Dear Forsan ISD Families and Community Members,

At this month’s Board of Trustees meeting, the Forsan ISD Board voted to call a $47 million bond election to be held on May 2, 2026.

The proposed bond reflects the results of a two-year facilities planning process conducted by the district. As part of that process, Forsan ISD convened a Community Facilities Committee composed of parents, district staff, business owners, and community members.

Committee members volunteered their time to:

Tour district facilities
Review financial information
Evaluate renovation and new construction options
Discuss long-range facility plan

The committee met multiple times throughout the planning process. Their findings and recommendations were presented to the Board of Trustees and were considered in the development of the bond proposal placed on the ballot.

If approved by voters, the bond proposes to fund the following projects:

New Secondary Additions

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Building
Academic Building
New Library
New Campus Offices

Renovations

Gym Locker Rooms
Auditorium
Cafeteria
Mechanical Systems

Forsan ISD will provide additional factual information about the proposed bond on a dedicated bond information website in the coming weeks. The website will include details about the projects, election information, and an online projected tax calculator. The calculator will allow homeowners to enter their property value to view a projected tax impact based on the proposed Interest & Sinking (I&S) tax rate.

Early Voting: Monday, April 20 – Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Election Day: Saturday, May 2, 2026
